Childsplay Nursery was established in 1997. At this time it was completely refurbished, designed and purpose built to meet the requirements of a growing children's nursery.
We are ideally situated in the Morningside area next door to St. Peter's Primary School, in a quiet location but conveniently placed near the main route in and out of the City Centre. We offer wrap around care for those children attending St. Peter's Nursery and a collection and drop off service. As outdoor play is very important to us we are delighted to have an excellent garden and we have our own private access to the adventure play area in St. Peter's Park. We have disabled access, are on one level and have a disabled toilet.

The nursery will provide snacks and lunch for your child. Toast and milk is served in the morning and a two-course lunch is provided for morning children. Afternoon snack consists of fresh fruit and vegetables, and home baking. Our dedicated cook prepares lunch fresh each day ensuring a nutritious well balanced diet.

We create an ethos where mutual trust, respect and confidence prevails throughout the nursery. It is important to us to develop excellent relationships between parents and staff enabling children to move happily between home and nursery. Everyone who attends our nursery feels welcomed, valued, safe and secure.
The Nursery will open during the following times :

The Nursery will be open every day of the year except over the Christmas period.
Our nursery has a highly dedicated and committed team, specially chosen for their qualities and experience. Staff are given constant support in their day-to-day roles, as well as being encouraged to undertake further training to enhance their knowledge.
We have a low turnover of staff with many of our team having been with us since the nursery opened in 1997. In some cases staff have cared for entire families. Many carry out extra babysitting duties in the family home.
