This room is full of exciting opportunities for independent exploration, imaginative play, and hands-on learning that keeps up with their boundless energy.
Everything in the room is carefully arranged at the children’s level, encouraging them to make choices, try new things, and gain confidence in their abilities. From creative construction and messy play to group story time and imaginative role play, every activity is thoughtfully planned to spark curiosity, build confidence, and encourage positive interactions with others.
Our enthusiastic and energetic staff bring passion, vitality and warmth into the room each day, meeting children with smiles, encouragement, and genuine enthusiasm for play and discovery. Through gentle guidance and engaging activities, children learn to express themselves, communicate with others, and begin to understand the world around them — all while having fun.

Children also spend a large part of their day outdoors, with direct access to our garden, where they can run, climb, dig, explore nature, and enjoy open-ended physical play. The Tweenie Room shares this space with our older children, creating a lovely “big sibling” feel where younger children benefit from the gentle encouragement and example of their older peers.
Our staff carefully observe and respond to each child’s interests, using the Realising the Ambition framework to guide engaging and meaningful learning through play. Every child has a dedicated key worker who maintains an online learning journal, documenting their journey, wellbeing and development — with opportunities for parents to contribute and stay connected.
We support each child at their own pace, helping them as they begin to manage things like toileting, hand washing, dressing and taking care of their belongings. These everyday moments are full of learning, and we make sure each one is met with patience, praise, and support.
